About Net Worth Snapshot
Net Worth Snapshot is a quiet, private place to see where your household stands financially — and how that changes over time.
Why we built it
Most personal-finance tools want to connect to your bank, categorize every transaction, and turn your money into a stream of notifications. That's a lot of access and a lot of noise for a question that's actually pretty simple: are we moving in the right direction?
We wanted the opposite. Enter your account balances once a month, watch the trend line, and get on with your life. No linked bank credentials, no ads, no upsells.
What it does
- Keeps every account — checking, retirement, real estate, loans — in one view.
- Records monthly balances so you can see net worth grow (or where it dipped, and why).
- Lets the people in your household share the same picture.
- Includes a small, plain-English learning library for the money questions that come up along the way.
How we think about your data
Your financial data is yours. We never connect to your bank, we never sell or rent your information, and we don't show ads. You enter your balances by hand, and you can export or delete them whenever you want. If you're curious about the specifics, our Security and Privacy Policy pages spell it out.
Who's behind it
Net Worth Snapshot is built and maintained by a small, independent team who wanted this tool to exist for our own households first. We're not backed by advertisers or data brokers, which keeps our incentives simple: build something we'd trust with our own numbers.
